Gary L. Smith was born in Belleville, Illinois in 1953. Prior to joining Herzog Crebs in 2001, Smith was a solo practitioner. Previously, he was with Bernard & Davidson in Granite City, IL. A 1988 graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law, Smith also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in occupational education from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
Smith's experience in litigation, insurance coverage and defense in negligence has helped him effectively represent clients in the areas of bodily injury, medical malpractice, product liability and toxic tort litigation, including asbestos and benzene.
Smith is licensed to practice in Illinois and Missouri. He is a member of the American, Missouri and Madison County (Illinois) Bar Associations.
